Leica SP2 Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope

Our Leica SP2 LSCM offers both inverted and standard (upright) configuration microscopes outfitted with identical optics:

  • 10X and 20X air objectives
  • 40X, 63X and 100X oil-immersion objectives
This system can image one transmitted and three fluorescence channels simultaneously or sequentially.
Fluorchromes are excited by three lasers:
  • Ar (457, 476, 488, 514 nm)
  • Green HeNe (543 nm)
  • Red HeNe (633 nm)
A Galvo-z stage is used for capturing high resolution z-series.

FRAP, FLIP, time-lapse imaging, and lambda scanning are possible on this system as well.
