What's Happening at BIF
May
- 14 - 22: Zeiss 710 Demo
- 25: Memorial Day
Northwestern University observes Memorial Day as a University holiday. BIF Management and Staff will not be in the facility. Those users with key access may come in and use the facility.
BIF will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th at 8:00a.m.
March
- 24: Annual Research Facilities Fair
Shared and Core Facilities (including BIF) from the Evanson Campus, and a few from the Chicago Campus affiliated with the Cancer Center, will be displaying and handing out information about their equipment and services in the Pancoe Atrium (2nd Floor) from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Afterwards, there will be an Open House in each facility from noon until 3:00 p.m.

- 26: 3rd Annual User Appreciation Day
Come by BIF for a day of food, demos, workshops and fun! Participating vendors include: Carl Zeiss Microsystems, Leica Microsystems, JEOL, ThermoFisher, Invitrogen, Agilent Technologies, DMS, and many more!
Bring your samples and check out the Agilent iMIC 2000 Intelligent Digital Microscope and the WITech Confocal Raman system.

- 27: Midwestern Microscopy and Microanalysis Society Annual Meeting
BIF is co-sponsoring the Midwest Microscopy and Microanalysis Society Meeting on correlative microscopy. Our lineup of speakers is wonderful - all are acknowledged experts in this exciting area of microscopy. Corporate sponsors will be displaying information and instruments in the Einsteins’ Café area. These are the people who provide ongoing support to all BIF users as well as contributing to our annual meeting. Even if you are not attending the meeting, please stop by the exhibition area.
Registration is required for the meeting. The cost of the registration is low, and lunch is included. To provide an accurate estimate of the number who will be attending, we appreciate early registration.
