Long-Term Time Block Policies

Long-term time blocks on the Zeiss 510 can be scheduled only during off-peak hours (6PM-8AM Monday-Friday) or on weekends. These blocks can be reserved only through BIF staff (not through FOM).

Different discount rates apply to different block lengths:
For 6-12 hours the rate is $25/hour (roughly 17% discount)
From 13 + hours the rate is $20/hour (roughly 33% discount)

Once started, you will be charged for the entire time block regardless of the amount actually used.

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the beginning of your reservation.

If you fail to use your reserved time (and don't cancel the reservation), you will be charged for the entire block.

If your session extends beyond the end of the time block, you will be charged at the usual off-hour rate ($30/ hour).
